Netizens on social media are questioning YSR Congress President Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy double standards on demand for Special Status ahead of PM Narendra Modi's visit to Andhra Pradesh. While Jagan has been reiterating the fact that he will support any party that will grant special status to Andhra Pradesh, the YSRCP President has been tight-lipped over the PM's visit to the state.
What has surprised most people is Jagan's tweet on Yatra, which said: "Congratulations @MahiVraghav @devireddyshashi @VijayChilla @ShivaMeka @mammukka & entire crew on the successful release of #Yatra.I wholeheartedly thank you & appreciate your passion & dedication in wanting to depict cinematically, the character & essence of the great leader, YSR." They are questioning about how Jagan has the time to tweet about Yatra movie on Sunday morning, but does not comment on Modi's visit to Andhra Pradesh.
Political circles believe that Narendra Modi's visit to the state is every political party's best chance to make their demands. This means it is also YSRCP's best chance to make Special Status demand to the Prime Minister. However, political observers believe that YSRCP's silence may affect the party's image among people as the party kept stating that it will do anything to demand Special Status for AP. Looks like YSRCP not making the most of its best opportunity!
