The war of Words between TRS MP Balka Suman and Telangana Congress leader Revanth Reddy over 24x7 power supply to the agriculture sector has escalated as the duo challenged each other for an open discussion.
Earlier, accusing the TRS govt. of purchasing power at exorbitant rate and imposing financial burden on the exchequer, Revanth Reddy challenged the state government to come for an open debate. MP Balka Suman, on behalf of the ruling party, accepted the challenge, and faulted Reddy for his comments against CM KCR.
In response, Revanth Reddy said he was also ready to take part in the open debate. He said that he would attend the debate at 2 pm on January 12 to prove his claims. He asked Suman finalize the venue, and said that he was ready to attend the debate even at CM's Camp Office or Telangana Bhavan.
Revanth alleged that the TRS government is providing 24X7 power to agriculture sector only to get 'Commissions' from the private power firms. He accused the govt. of buying power from private firms at exorbitant prices, when it is available at much lower prices. He challenged the govt for an open debate and claimed that he will prove all his claims.
TRS leaders have rebuked Reddy's comments and said that the Congress was making false allegations fearing that farmers would back TRS in the next elections. Suman claimed that he would prove Reddy's allegations wrong.
